it's the year 2308. humanity has nearly been wiped out due to large scale nuclear warfare. the human population has dwindled to only 5 million people left on Earth. radiation sickness is common, and civilization has collapsed. You're scavenging some ruins of an old town until you hear a geiger counter that's not yours click about 100 feet behind you.
