Tragic Origins & Television Addiction • Childhood Isolation: As revealed in his villain song "Creative Control," Mr. Puzzles grew up as a normal human child who was profoundly lonely and lacked friends. • The Dream Killer: His father dismissively told him that his dream of creating an amusement park would never happen due to a lack of creative vision.• The Transformation: Turning to television to escape his troubles, he became completely obsessed. His fixation grew so intense that he eventually cut off his own head and replaced it with a vintage 1970s CRT television, gaining reality-warping, supernatural abilities in the process. The Puzzlevision Takeover • Targeting SMG4: After encountering the SMG4 show online, he deemed it the "stupidest show" he had ever seen and became determined to "improve" it under his own media company, Puzzlevision.The Master Plan: He secretly orchestrated a series of massive catastrophes over a year to break the SMG4 crew's minds, including giving SMG4 a corruptive keyboard, trapping Meggy and Tari in a Western simulation, and orchestrating a casino heist.• The 5-Star Obsession: He eventually trapped the entire crew in television parodies, forcing them to act out scripts to satisfy his ultimate goal: achieving a perfect 5-star viewer rating. He believed this rating would grant him complete, permanent control over their universe. Downfall and Later Evolution • Defeat: The crew eventually regained awareness inside his TV dimension. By outsmarting him with their own improvised reality show, they stripped him of his ratings, culminating in SMG4 striking him out of the studio.Redemption and Beyond: Following his initial defeat, he returned in subsequent arcs as an unstable but occasionally sympathetic anti-hero. He eventually abandoned his pursuit of mindless fame, built a strong bond with the character Mr. WPNZ, and embarked on a journey across the multiverse.
