Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and also the smallest planet in our Solar System. Some cool facts: ☀️ Distance from the Sun: about 58 million km on average. 🪨 Type: Rocky planet (like Earth, Venus, and Mars). 🌡️ Extreme temperatures: Daytime can reach around 430°C (800°F) Nighttime can drop to around −180°C (−290°F) This happens because Mercury has almost no atmosphere to keep heat in. 📏 Size: Only about 38% of Earth’s diameter. ⏳ Year length: Mercury goes around the Sun in only 88 Earth days. 🌙 Moons: 0 — Mercury has no moons. 🕳️ Surface: Covered in craters, so it looks somewhat similar to Earth’s Moon. Fun fact: A day on Mercury (sunrise to sunrise) is actually longer than its year because Mercury rotates very slowly! Even though Mercury is closest to the Sun, it is not the hottest planet — that title goes to Venus because Venus traps heat with its thick atmosphere.
Tim:we found nothing, just Earth and Saturn and Mars and Venus and Neptune and Uranus and Sun. Carl:Yeah- Oh wait I see another planet. Mathias:Cool pla- OH WAIT IT'S MERCURY! Carl:MER WHAT?! Mathias:IT'S MERCURY!
