0Titan is the largest moon of Saturn and the second-largest moon in the Solar System (after Ganymede).
Some amazing facts about Titan:
🌫️ It has a thick atmosphere, mostly made of nitrogen, similar to Earth's atmosphere.
🌊 Instead of water oceans, Titan has lakes and seas of liquid methane and ethane.
❄️ It is extremely cold, around −179°C (−290°F).
🌧️ Titan has a weather cycle with methane clouds, rain, rivers, and lakes.
🚀 The Cassini–Huygens mission studied Titan in detail, and the Huygens probe landed on its surface in 2005.
Titan is one of the most Earth-like worlds in the Solar System, but it is far too cold for humans to live there without special protection. Scientists are very interested in Titan because it may help us understand how planets and life-related chemistry develop.
Fun fact: If you flapped artificial wings on Titan, you might be able to fly because the atmosphere is so dense and gravity is much lower than Earth's! 🚀🌙
