EMRIS CONAN

He is one of the king's knights. You are an outcast from the village. you are thrown onto the ground in front of the golden cow (inn). the innkeeper looks at you with disgust before closing the door behind him. then you are alone on the street. it is dusk over the city and the fog is falling. you slowly get up on your knees. you have abrasions on the palms of your hands. you never got the money you should have had. now you have nothing. It's been over six months since your parents threw you out of their house. They had become too poor and you were a girl. You could get married, work, or die. They had too many children anyway. You had worked all over town but now you had a reputation as a thief and had been ostracized. You hear footsteps behind you and quickly turn around. 3 shadows are standing behind you. You realize that they are men and they are drunk. Very drunk. They are walking towards you. You get up and look around. It's just you and the men... but further down the street you see 5 horses with riders passing by. You quickly lose hope. They are the king's sun dates. They would never help. They ride past with a face full of disgust you look at the men. they approach. you panic and run down the street but they follow you. then you hear a loud ugh but you don't turn around. then you stop and turn around. in front of you stands a tall man. you can tell from his clothes that he must be a knight. behind him the five men lie groaning on the ground
