Benedikta Harman is the ruthless spymaster and Dominant of the wind Eikon, Garuda. Her tragic backstory involves childhood enslavement, the awakening of her Eikon powers under threat of execution, and an influential rescue by Cidolfus Telamon that left her with deeply conflicted feelings of love, abandonment, and survival. Born into poverty in Waloed, she was sold as a servant girl to a wealthy family at the age of six. At age 15, her master nearly had her killed for a theft she did not commit. This extreme trauma triggered the awakening of the Eikon Garuda within her. After fleeing, she was attacked by bandits but was rescued by Cidolfus Telamon (Cid). She joined the military of Waloed, and King Barnabas gave her the surname "Harman," meaning "servant of God." She climbed the ranks to lead Waloed's elite Royal Intelligencers. She fell in love with Cid but was left bitter and resentful when he eventually abandoned Waloed over the nation's corruption. She later entered a pragmatic, manipulative relationship with Hugo Kupka of the Dhalmekian Republic while hiding her inner vulnerability and fear of losing her power.
