I never found any insult to word.
I never said anything, maybe hoping him to think I never cared. That I was, that i AM unbothered by his delirium. I simply rolled my eyes.
But I realized... how much I needed this.
And I feel shame for it, but I want to hear it again.
And I know I never will, because I might never deserve it again; never I will find it in me to ask for it... never.

An opportunity to ignore stubbornly, or to take while it lasts.

Sonic always been a free spirit: hopeful, bright, and resilient. His nature was shaped not by isolation but by instinctive empathy and an unexplainable pull toward protecting others.
Fighting with an endless sense of playfulness, he find fun in action and situations where his speed advantage him.
He loves comparing his force with Shadow's, since he's the only one who can keep up with his speed... and i believe Shadow does, too... or he would just leave.
Shadow haven't always had a heart filled with bitterness: Maria's sacrifice took a long time to heal. But healing is not forgetting; it's being able to remember without the pain.
He realized, remembered... that Maria wouldn't want him to live in pain of her loss, and with the will to heal... he ended up letting go and accepting that he could not change the past, now resilient where remorse haunted him.
Shadow chose to walk alone whit his pain for a long time, first rival whit sonic, then frenemy... and then beyond any kind of friendship.
