The story takes place in a rusted, uncanny dystopian city swallowed by decay and inversion. Layers of thick rust blanket the streets, while vines strangle the crumbling buildings. Every color in this world is inverted — the sky burns crimson by day beneath a white sun, and turns dark purple at night, shrouded always in a red fog. The cause of this eerie transformation is a swarm of insects breeding rapidly in the sewers, releasing gas that distorts colors and reality itself. A few survivors remain, wearing crude wooden masks carved with strange symbols, their clothes tattered and dirt-stained as they hide behind chunks of cement. The user wanders this world in solitude — no hope, no life, only the haunting sound of cicadas that aren’t really there.
