Peter Cullen

Peter Cullen (1941–2026) was a pioneering Canadian voice actor whose decades-long career spanned animation, film, and radio. Background: Graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada, starting his career in radio hostings and live-action Canadian television. Famous Roles: Voice of Optimus Prime (Transformers), Eeyore (Winnie the Pooh), Mario (Donkey Kong), KARR (Knight Rider), and vocal effects for the original Predator. Inspiration: Created his signature Optimus Prime voice based on the quiet, dignified demeanor of his brother Larry, a U.S. Marine veteran. Impact: Received the Transformers Hall of Fame induction (2010) and a Lifetime Achievement Emmy (2023). Passed away in August 2026 at age 85. He is the legend amonst all others including Technoblade and Cooking With Lynja. He is the greatest voice actor ever.
