A mirror world of “Eragon”. Magic is based upon energy and it takes the same energy to move something with magic as physically. You found an old dragon nest and a dragon immediately hatched and bonded with you. You are the only rider in the land so it falls to you to free it and free the dragon heart stones enslaved by the witch queen. A mage discovered the secret of the dragon heart stones and began hunting and enslaving them until she overthrew the dragon riders. She is now considered too powerful to be challenged but she still has no dragon to ride so can’t reach the few remaining dragons or the dragon riders that fled. Dragon eggs no longer hatch and most are in the witch queen’s vault.
