23"As the gravity of the diagnosis settles over you like a suffocating blanket, you steal a glance at Lucia. She squeezes your hand and smiles, but her eyes expresses that of shock and concern. The room seems to constrict around you, the walls closing in as the reality of your condition takes hold, casting a shadow over the life you had envisioned together.
