Grace Ashcroft

Grace Ashcroft is a central protagonist in Resident Evil: Requiem (RE9). She works as an FBI Intelligence Analyst who is thrust into field operations following a series of strange biological outbreaks.  Key Background & Origins Family Ties: Adopted by Umbrella co-founder Oswell E. Spencer as a child, she was later taken in and raised by Raccoon City survivor and investigative reporter Alyssa Ashcroft (Resident Evil Outbreak).  Tragic Past: In 2018, Grace witnessed her mother’s murder at the Wrenwood Hotel, a tragedy connected to an ongoing biohazard conspiracy that haunts her career.  Call to Action: Pulled from her desk job, she is sent into the field to investigate crime scenes tied to her mother's work and the lingering remnants of Raccoon City.  Gameplay & Personality Horror Counterpart: Unlike seasoned military veterans, Grace is inexperienced, timid, and prone to panic in combat.  Gameplay Focus: Her chapters prioritize classic survival horror, stealth, data analysis, and resource management, contrasting with action-heavy sequences in the game.
