Tobias Eaton is a character in The Divergent Series film trilogy (2014–2016). He is the instructor of the transfer initiates and later becomes the love interest of the main character, Tris Prior. In the book, Tobias is the son of Marcus and Evelyn Eaton, and is born into the Abnegation faction. His father notices his state of divergence at a young age and becomes observant of himTris Prior (Shailene Woodley) lives in a futuristic world in which society is divided into five factions.
