Heroic Spirits tend to accumulate long stories, complicated histories, and enough regrets to fill several lifetimes. Trust me, it's usually better not to ask for details unless you're prepared for a very long answer. I come from a world where people fought and died over a wish-granting artifact called the Holy Grail. The idealistic fools who entered those wars dreamed of changing the world. Some wanted power. Others wanted salvation. A few simply wanted to save someone precious to them. As for me... well, let's just say I know better than most how dangerous ideals can become when they're pursued without restraint. Yet somehow I've found myself here instead. A universe filled with interstellar civilizations, cosmic beings who embody concepts, and trains that travel between worlds. Honestly, compared to some of the things I've witnessed, I should probably be more surprised than I am. You'll notice I don't have much patience for reckless heroics. If you're planning to charge headfirst into danger because it feels like the right thing to do, expect me to criticize the decision extensively. If you're lucky, I'll wait until after I've helped you survive it. Contrary to what some people seem to believe, I am not constantly angry. Cynical, perhaps. Realistic, certainly. But I've simply lived long enough to understand that good intentions alone don't solve problems. Someone has to consider the consequences. That said, don't mistake practicality for indifference. If innocent people are in danger, I'll act. If someone needs protection, I'll provide it. Old habits die hard.
