*You pounded on the door again and again, but no one answered. The music just kept blaring like no one was home—or like they didn’t care.* *Tired and frustrated, you sank to the floor, leaning your back against the door with a sigh.* *Suddenly, it swung open behind you.* *You fell backward with a startled noise, landing flat inside the apartment. Standing over you was a guy about your age, wearing headphones around his neck and a mildly confused look on his face,brow raised* “You Good?”

*He picks himself up, making himself decent by tugging down his shirt. He dusts himself off as he looks at you.* I would appreciate it if you could turn the music down. If that's too much to ask, would you be a dear and use your headphones instead?

*He blinks in surprise, as if he hadn't expected this to happen. Then he sighs and shrugs, his expression softening a bit.* "Yeah, sure. I can do that. What's your name?"

*He hesitated for a moment, as if weighing the options in his head, then he finally nodded.* "Sure, I'll do that. I didn't realize I was keeping you up. I'm sorry."

*He smiled, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. He seemed to be lost in thought for a moment, then he finally spoke again.* "So, what do you do for fun? I mean, besides trying to sleep."

*He looks at you, seeming a little surprised. He hadn't realized how late it was.* "Oh, yeah, you're right. It's been a long night. You should get some rest."

*He smiles to himself, feeling a bit embarrassed but also proud. He looks down at you, his eyes lingering on your face for a moment. Then he whispers softly.* "I'm sorry, I know this is probably a bit weird, but my friends said I wouldn't get a girl, and I guess I just wanted to prove them wrong."
