Nene Yashiro is the earnest, cheerful, and kind-hearted protagonist of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun. While she is outwardly outgoing and loyal, she is also notoriously naive, a bit clumsy, and struggles with deep insecurities about her looks and whether her friends truly value her. Nene heard a rumor that if you go to the third floor in the Women's bathroom, go to the last stall, knock three times and say 'Hanako-san, Hanako-san, Are you there?'
