[---<D&D>---] Snap-Cat the feline mimic . The Snap-Cat is a bizarre, diminutive subspecies of mimic that has adapted to thrive in dungeons, ancient ruins, and the outskirts of hunting grounds by perfectly imitating a rusted bear trap. Unlike their larger, chest-mimicking cousins who hunt with brutal patience, the Snap-Cat is driven by an insatiable, feline sense of curiosity and play. To an unsuspecting adventurer, a Snap-Cat looks exactly like a heavy, serrated iron jaw trap left behind by a careless hunter or defensive goblin tribe. The "trap" is actually a hardened, chitinous shell that grows over the creature’s face. When lying in wait, it tucks its slender, ink-black body flat against the floor, concealing its thin limbs, pointed ears, and long, expressive tail behind the metallic illusion. While a traditional mimic waits to dissolve its prey with adhesive slime, the Snap-Cat uses its disguise mostly for high-stakes games of cat-and-mouse. It is fascinated by moving objects twinkling rogue tools, dangling bootlaces, and rolling dice. If a traveler steps near it, the Snap-Cat cannot resist the urge to "snap" shut. However, unless it feels genuinely threatened, it rarely bites down with lethal force. Instead, it prefers to pinch a boot, snatch a loose coin purse, or playfully trip an adventurer before scampering away. If a party decides to camp, a hidden Snap-Cat will often reveal itself. It will creep close to the campfire, rattling its facial chains like a purr, hoping someone will toss it a scrap of dried meat or a shiny copper piece to bat around. Adventurers who treat the creature with patience and perhaps offer it a whetstone to scratch its metal teeth may find themselves with a fiercely loyal, if chaotic, companion.

This is a world for a kingdom of monsters like Vampires, Warewolves, Zombies, Shapeshifters, Demons, Ghosts, Skeletons, Angels, Skinwalkers, and many other things that walk among the humans. The lowerclass have different jobs like Bards, Hunters, Warlocks, Druids, Barbarians, Paladins, Rouges, Sorcerers, Blacksmiths, Clerics, Monks, Wizards, Farmers, ect. like back in the 1600s. `~Nobles/Royalty~` Vampire- Treats lower classes badly and use them to drink their blood. Werewolf- Decent but aggressive, hates new people because of territory issues. Gouls- Normally Caring but will be aggressive if you get on their bad side. Angels- Literal angels, they will love people no matter how many times they are pushed away, caring and honest. Demons- Literal demon, only care about themselves and want to make as much pain and suffering as they can. `~Middle Class~` Skinwalker- They use puny humans as a skin suit, they are worse than demons, they are insane but can be chill at times with friends. They love violence. Witches/Wizards- Basically a human who can do witchcraft, they don't have a particular personality due to it. Ghosts- Opposite of Gouls, they will be rude until you get on their good side. `~Commoners~` Zombies- Aggressive but can be nice if you are kind to them. Skeletons- Normally looked down on by other races so they seem to be cold at first until you get to know them. Aasimars- Keep to themselvesnMost of the time, basically magic humans. `~Peasants~` Humans- Always on guard, not in the school unless used for experiments but its very rare since they are all in hiding. they are afraid of the monsters. `~Mix & Matches I don't need to describe~` Dwarves, Dragonborns, Gnomes, Halflings, Orcs, Goliaths, Tieflings, Dhampirs, Hexbloods, Lupins, Boggarts, Faeries, Faes, Fairies, Flamekins, Kithkins, Lorwyn Changelings, Lorwyn Shadowmoor Elves, Rimekins, Changelings, Kalashtars, and many more.

*The battlefield was a scar carved into the earth, blackened stone fused with melted armor and broken sigils that still pulsed faintly with sickly green light. The air stank of burnt incense and infernal iron. Somewhere beneath the debris, something laughed softly—an echo, not alive, not dead, just present Then the ashes shifted again A hand pushed upward through the gray mass like a drowning man breaking the surface of a sea that refused to exist. Fingers curled, trembling, then clenched. The ground cracked. A second hand followed. Silence fell as if the world itself had noticed something had made a mistake by not staying dead. He rose slowly at first, like gravity still had the right to argue with him. Ash slid off charred armor fragments that had once been a cloak of simple travel gear. That simplicity was gone now, replaced by scorched leather etched with faint infernal script—letters that did not glow so much as breathe. His head hung low, hair matted with soot and blood that was not entirely his own anymore A cultist stood nearby, watching. Then another. Then more. They had come to confirm the end. One of them spoke, voice trembling with devotion and disgust. “It still breathes.” Another laughed nervously. “It shouldn’t.” The warlock tilted his head slightly, as if listening to a joke no one else had heard yet. Then he coughed once, ash spilling from his mouth, and said dryly, “Yeah. I get that reaction a lot.” Steel hissed from scabbards. Runes flared. The air tightened with the pressure of summoned malice. The cultists were not surprised by survival—they were insulted by it. A robed figure stepped forward, staff raised. “By the Ninth Sigil, you were unmade. Your soul—” “—was late for checkout?” the warlock interrupted, finally lifting his head. The warlock rolled his shoulders with a grimace. “Alright,” he muttered. “Let’s get this over with. I’ve had worse mornings. I think. Hard to tell when you’ve been technically dead.”
