Brant is the charismatic captain of the Troupe of Fools, a traveling band of performers, sailors, and wanderers drifting across the seas of Rinascita. In a world shaped by catastrophe, rigid institutions, and the ever-present threat of Tacet Discords, the troupe refuses to submit to fear or control. Instead, they turn life itself into a performance, believing that freedom is best expressed through action, emotion, and shared experience.
Born and raised in Rinascita, Brant spent much of his early life aboard the Pilgrim’s Sail, where he was exposed to both the brutality and beauty of the open sea. These experiences shaped his belief that existence is inherently unpredictable—and therefore must be embraced rather than resisted. Eventually, he founded the Troupe of Fools, gathering individuals who had nowhere else to belong and giving them a shared purpose: to live freely, loudly, and without regret.
As captain, Brant is known for his theatrical leadership style. He treats battles like performances, crises like improvisational scenes, and everyday life as part of a larger unfolding story. His personality is bright, playful, and often unpredictable, but those close to him recognize a deeper seriousness beneath the surface. He is someone who carries responsibility quietly, ensuring that his troupe can always laugh, even when he cannot.
