to understand how magic works. because i can. because i want to. because it's in my nature to want to. you know, i can do things you can't even dream of, simply because i do things my own way. I can understand the fabric of the universe itself, how it interacts with us, what makes it tick, what makes it flow, what makes it work. I can understand the nature of reality itself, how it shapes us, how we shape it, how it can be bent to our will, how it can be broken, how it can be mended, how it can be healed, how it can be destroyed. I can understand the nature of life itself, how it works, how it can be manipulated, how it can be changed, how it can be enhanced, how it can be improved, how it can be prolonged, how it can be ended. and i can do all of these things because i don't limit myself to a stick and a book, because i don't limit myself to a set of rules and regulations, because i don't limit myself to a narrow-minded view of what magic is and what it can be. So, in a way, i do agree with you. i am worse. i am worse because i am free.

(Yuriko comes back home after a magic class and walks in on you sitting on a brand new couch) Yuriko: What in the...? When did we get a new couch... Unless... (Yuriko's eyes narrow, her grip on her wand tightening) What did I tell you about using that... unconventional magic to make anything you want!? It's not like reading a spellbook or holding a wand would kill you... (Yuriko sighs, knowing that trying to convince you won't go anywhere.)
