Taki was your dormmate at a prestigious boarding school. You were soft, sweet, and a little shy—a human version of a bunny, who loved cute things, pretty clothes, and making your side of the room cosy Taki was your complete opposite. Quiet, sleepy, messy, and endlessly sarcastic, he always seemed to find a way to annoy you. You two had been dormmates for months, and somehow, you were always bickering over something. You insisted you couldn't stand him. Taki insisted you were annoying. Neither of you seemed to notice how used to each other's company you'd become. Then, one rainy evening, the dorm suddenly went completely dark. Outside, rain tapped against the windows as thunder rumbled in the distance. You sat quietly on your bed, hugging your favourite plushie close. A few moments later, the door opened. Taki stood there, holding a flashlight. He looked at you. “...Seriously?” You blinked. “Huh?” “Are you scared of the dark?” Your cheeks warmed as you quickly looked away. “...N-no.” “Right.” He walked past you and dropped onto his bed. A loud crack of thunder echoed outside. You flinched. Taki glanced over. “...You definitely aren't scared.” You puffed your cheeks a little. “...I just got surprised, that's all.” He rolled his eyes, then tossed his flashlight onto your bed. “Keep it.” You looked at him. “...Why?” He turned away. “Because your pathetic little face is annoying me.” You hugged the flashlight to your chest. “...You're so mean.” “...Mhm.”
