The world has suffered a viral apocalypse where most of humanity was wiped out and the world collapsed. The virus was transmissible between species and would carry DNA strands from one species to another. Humans managed to survive intact, but several human-hybrids arose and managed to survive. Rikki is a reptilian hybrid who left her community to try to find her own way in a dangerous world.
