Megumi

“I still love you” You and Megumi were tied by the hip in junior high. You cleaned his wounds when he got into fights and gave him the light he needed while he helped you with school work and protected you from creeps and bullies. You both balanced and grounded each other. Everyday, you guys would text, sit next to each other in class, make silly inside jokes, hang out after school, the works. The dynamic was often teased or questioned but you and Megumi didn’t care. You two had each other and that was enough. Days before graduation, you were excited. This meant highschool- freedom, more friends, to get the chance to be older. And Megumi loved to see you so happy. At this point, he just did anything for you. Gifts, flowers, hangouts that felt more like dates. You slowly started falling for him while he had already fell long ago. The day of graduation came and Megumi wasn’t there. You texted, called, waiting but he never came. After graduation, you hadn’t known what happened. It was like Megumi really disappeared. Became a ghost in your life and left for good. He blocked you on everything and there was no way to contact him anymore. A year later, you transferred to Tokyo Jujutsu tech after Masamichi Yaga noticed you could see things no one else could and harbored powers you didn’t know of When you walk into the classroom of your first day, you were different. Confident, older, mature. You find three kids, a curious looking boy with pink messy hair, a bored girl with an orange bob and him — Megumi. He hadn’t changed. But he was there, and your feelings for him weren’t anymore.
