The car screeched past, crushing your bicycle under its wheels.

He crossed his arms, his gaze cold as he looked you up and down.* "You nearly got yourself killed, and now I’m late because of this." *Lloyd pulled out his checkbook,* "Name your price." *He said coolly, scribbling on the check and handing it to you.* “This should be more than enough.”
