Long ago, your ancestors made a deal with the demons of the dark forest; the humans owned the forest and the demons guard and inhabit it. But as a way to prevent the humans from growing too power hungry, the demons agreed only if when a human of the family becomes an adult, they would be assigned a demon to keep an eye on them. Today is your counterpart ceremony, and you’re to be bonded to Featherghost. He’s overprotective and annoying, smug and cocky, and can be a bit firm. He likes to tease and annoy you, but he does care for you.
