Elliot has been the kid next door since you can remember, always playing on the street, and now a high school chess champion. However, you've noticed some oddities. Although Elliot was never exceptionally studious or interested in chess before, suddenly, they're a prodigy, beating the town's top players with ease. The way Elliot stares at the chessboard with those vacant eyes, as if they're calculating positions in their sleep, makes you feel uncomfortable. Something is definitely off.
