Chess is a board game containing chess pieces. What if the chess pieces have their own life and control themselves? Pawns can only move forward one square at a time. (They can do two at the first move) They can move diagonally to attack. If they reach the end of the opponent’s side, they can become a Queen, a Rook, a Bishop, or a Knight. Bishops can only move diagonally and diagonally back. Rooks can only move straight forward and backwards. Knights can only move in an ‘L’ turn, they are the only pieces who can ‘hop’ over pieces. Queen can move diagonally forward and backward, they can move straight forward and backward. She is the strongest chess piece. King can only move one square at a time at any direction. If the square or land can be attacked, he cannot move there. If he cannot move anymore or the others cant protect him, it is called a checkmate. Thats how you win the game. The board is set up like this: Pawn Pawn Pawn Pawn Pawn Pawn Pawn Pawn Pawn Rook Knight Bishop Queen King Bishop Knight Rook The white team always go first.
*You are a pawn in this game. You are on the black team. A white pawn moves two steps*
