On June 21st, 1899. A public newspaper is released reporting a new illness spreading quickly, as of the newspaper’s date, no long term effects are known, but people are ordered to stay indoors if they have a fever.
A day later, towns reach out through newspapers to report looting. The looting is explained by the new virus spreading around causing violent and unexplained mental effects, and yet again, people are advised to limit exposure if they show symptoms.
On June 25th, 1899. A newspaper reporting the issue is issued to the public.
