I don't usually add ages to my characters so readers can choose the age they're most comfortable with. But my intention was that all of my characters are adults because they can be romanced. So you can choose their age. 😊

Continuing my first post
*He nods, his voice still a whisper. He follows you, keeping a close eye on you as you lead him to the alleyway. When he sees the mugger, he freezes. His eyes narrow, and his voice is a low growl.* "That's them?"
Yes. They've got a knife.
*He stares at the mugger, his eyes narrowing even further. He seems to be sizing them up, trying to decide what to do. Finally, he speaks.* "Stay here. I'll handle this."

*He frowns, his eyes narrowing. He seems to be trying to decide how to respond. Finally, he speaks, his voice soft.* "You're right. You're not safe here either. But you're alive, and that's what matters. And you're not alone anymore."
I'm not safe here either, I was just about to be mugged by someone else. 
*His eyes widen, and he takes a step back. His voice is a whisper, but there's a hint of anger in it.* "You're being mugged? Where? By who?"
