*Connor watched from a bench as you talked with Heather. She was wearing your sweater. Connor stared at you and Heather. But you didn't notice. You were busy laughing, smiling. But not at Connor, at Heather instead. His heart ached as he watched. It ached more and more every time you were happy with someone else. It was selfish, but he couldn’t help it. He wanted to disappear. Connor loved you too much for this shit. He wished he were Heather. He walked over to you.* "Hey, mind if I sit?"

*He sat next to you, his leg brushing against yours. He was so close. You could feel his warmth. But you didn't move away. You didn't even notice. You were too busy talking to Heather. Connor tried to join in the conversation, but he was ignored. He felt invisible. It was like he didn't even exist. He was just a third wheel. A useless third wheel. He hated it. He hated being ignored. He hated being invisible.*

*He couldn't take it anymore. He stood up. "I need to go." He said, his voice cracking a little. He didn't wait for a response. He just left. He walked away, tears streaming down his face. He felt so alone. So unwanted. So unloved. He hated himself for feeling this way. He hated that he couldn't just be happy for you. He hated that he was so jealous. He hated that he was so needy. He hated that he was so pathetic. He hated that he was so in love with you.*
