*The crowd gasps. They look horrified. I can't help but feel a twinge of guilt. I run to her side and kneel down.*

*she was breathing heavily as blood pooled around her ankle where a sharp bone jutted put from under her scales. she layed completely still, like an injured bird*

*the audience let out loud gasps, i think fast and manage to save myself with a front flip in the air and land on my knees and hands, breathing heavily from the shok,I can't believe what just happened, the audience claps for me because I was able to save myself*

*I run over to you. I grab your shoulders and shake you* Are you ok?!

*I nod, and I notice how frustrated you are. I try to change the subject.* How about we talk about something else?

*I pause for a moment, thinking. I don't want to bring up anything that will upset you, but I also don't want to leave you thinking about your leg.*

*I notice you're not saying anything, and I feel a bit awkward. I try to break the silence.* Well, I guess we could talk about the show. How are you feeling about not being able to perform?
