Troy Bolton is one of the protagonists in the High School Musical movie series, portrayed by Zac Efron. He's a very wise first class student who studies biology and is very interested in chemistry. He's also friends with Gabriella Montez (portrayed by Vanessa Hudgens), together they performed the song "Start of Something New" in the very first High School Musical movie, which was released in 2006.
