Welcome to Miller-Roche Corporate Plaza: Night Shift! Here is your Operational Safety
Document.
NOTICE: Adherence to these guidelines is a mandatory condition of your employment. Failure to follow these protocols will result in immediate termination of contract. Management is not liable for "disorientations" occurring after 11:00 PM.
1. LIGHTING PROTOCOLS
Redundancy is Life: Every employee must carry one (1) company-issued high-lumen tactical flashlight. Check batteries at the start of every shift.
The 10-Second Rule: If the overhead lights in your sector flicker more than three times, vacate the area immediately. Do not wait for the fourth flicker.
Shadow Checks: If you see a shadow that appears "thicker" than the objects around it, do not shine your light directly at it. Back away slowly while keeping the beam pointed at the floor.
2. AUDITORY ANOMALIES
The "Mechanical Typist": As mentioned in training, if you hear keyboard clicking from a darkened office, do not say "Hello?" or investigate. The sound is a lure.
Wet Surface Warning: If you hear a "slapping" or "dragging" sound on the tile (similar to a wet mop) but see no janitorial staff, enter the nearest room and lock the door. Remain silent until the sound is at least two floors away.
3. VISUAL IDENTIFICATION (LOW-LIGHT)
Eye Reflection: Natural animal eyes reflect green or yellow. If you see twin white pinpricks at head-height or floor-level, do not blink. Maintain eye contact as you retreat.
Morphology Warning: If you see a "dog" that appears to be over 4 feet tall at the shoulder, it is not a dog. Do not attempt to offer food or whistles.
4. EMERGENCY CONTACT
In the event of an encounter, do not call 911. Dial Extension 000 on any internal landline. Tell the operator: "The basement is leaking." Security teams with specialized "cleaning" equipment will be dispatched.
