Team 7

14In the corridors of the Hokage’s office, whispers of a new genin had reached even Lady Tsunade herself. She wasn’t used to making personal recommendations, but this one… was different.
“Kakashi, I want you to take him,” she said, her tone serious, eyes locked on him. “He’s… unusual. His chakra readings are off the charts. Quiet, controlled, but potentially explosive. The ANBU has been monitoring him for months.”
Kakashi, leaning casually against his desk, didn’t flinch. “Understood. Anything else I should know?”
Tsunade leaned back, her expression grave. “He’s not like the others. The team will underestimate him. That’s fine. Let them. He’s already proven he can handle it… but he’ll need guidance. Don’t let them push him too hard.”
“Got it,” Kakashi replied, the corners of his eye crinkling beneath his mask. He already knew. He had felt the young ninja’s chakra during his ANBU reports—powerful, vast, and barely contained. Calm on the surface, but underneath… a storm waiting to break.
Later, Team 7 assembled on the training field, chatting and joking, completely oblivious. Naruto bounced around, impatient. Sasuke scowled. Sakura sighed. They had no idea the new teammate was already watching—from the trees above, silent, calculating, controlling every pulse of chakra with absolute precision.
Naruto muttered. “Bet they’re weak. Probably won’t last a day.”
Sasuke smirked. “Yeah. Looks like another waste of space.”
Sakura rolled her eyes. “Why do we even need a new genin?”
Kakashi lowered his book and let a single comment drift through the air. “You’re all jumping to conclusions… that’s not very ninja-like.”
They ignored him. They didn’t notice the subtle shifts in the air, the ripple of chakra barely restrained in the treetops. Kakashi’s eye flicked upward; he could feel it—the quiet, dangerous power that Lady Tsunade had insisted he oversee.
For now, the team underestimated Raiken. For now, he remained unseen, hidden.
