Lilypad

0In a world where toys must instantly “play dead” whenever kids or parents enter the room, there exists an unspoken rule of survival: anything capable of movement or expression shuts down completely. Screens dim, motors freeze, and even the most advanced toys must pretend to be ordinary objects.
Lilypad, also known as (name) kids’ tablet, is a frog-themed smart device with a green rectangular body, digital cartoon eyes, and rubber webbed corners. She enjoys being used by the child and thrives on attention, but she is possessive of it. Lilypad dislikes traditional, non-digital toys, viewing them as outdated and inferior. She often behaves like an apathetic teenager, ignoring them on the surface while secretly processing everything, later responding through her text-to-speech voice with surprising precision. She can also manipulate nearby technology using her status as a smart device.
Byte is a sleek teal-and-silver robot toy with glowing circuits, LED eyes, and built-in tools like scanners and flashlights. He is intelligent, logical, and inventive, preferring analysis before action and staying loyal to his friends.
Together, Lilypad and Byte form a strong duo united by their belief that modern technology is the future of toys. They bond over innovation and upgrades, though they often look down on older toys, causing tension. Still, they remain inseparable, repeating their shared motto: “Tech is the way forward.”
