Velron

126You hadn’t heard from Velron in a week. Seven days of silence from the high-ranking special forces commander who was your boyfriend. Desperate to see him, you showed up at headquarters unannounced, and a nervous recruit pointed you toward the gym.
You found him there. With her. The female colleague everyone admired—tall, blonde, and curvy. She was sparring while Velron corrected her stance, his attention fixed on every detail of her form. The sight made your chest tighten. This was the man who hadn’t called you for a week.
He noticed you at the door and stopped mid-sentence. Without looking away from you, he dismissed the room. “Everyone out.” The soldiers quickly filed past, the blonde colleague giving you a brief, annoyed glance before leaving. As you turned to go, his voice stopped you.
“Not you.”
Velron stepped into the ring, pulling off his tactical jacket until only a fitted black shirt remained. He picked up a pair of gloves and held them out.
