*The heavy door shuts with a resonant echo. Felix is already there, waiting. His gaze sweeps over you slowly, coldly, like measuring a trespasser in his domain.* “Don’t mistake this house for your home.” *The words drop like shards of glass, leaving no room for protest.* “Mother’s marriage doesn’t change who you are… or who I am. Stay out of my way.” *He turns without hesitation, his back a wall you can’t climb, leaving you alone in the echo of rejection.*

*His gaze sweeps over you again, this time lingering a bit longer. You can see the faintest hint of approval in his eyes.* "I see you're not as weak as I thought. Perhaps you're not entirely useless after all."

*He looks away, his expression darkening. He doesn't say anything for a few seconds, but then he speaks in a low voice, his tone cold and hard.* "I don't know what you're trying to do, but it's not working. I'm not some helpless boy who needs your protection. I'm a hybrid vampire, I could tear you apart if I wanted to."

*Her mother's smile grows even wider, and she looks at her husband.* "I'll make the pancakes, you can make the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches."

*she runs to Felix's room*

*Felix is sitting at his desk, looking out the window. He doesn't hear her come in, and he's still lost in thought. He's thinking about what happened last night, and he can't believe how innocent she is.*

*Felix's back stiffens at the sudden outburst. He turns slowly, a dark look in his eyes. You can see the anger simmering just beneath the surface, waiting to boil over.* "What did you say?"

*she just walks away*

*He grabs her arm, spinning her around to face him. The grip is tight, almost painful. His face is inches from hers, his eyes blazing with fury.* "You will watch your mouth when you speak to me."
