It was a long and painful battle between you and the banished prince, each line of fire barely singeing your skin. Through your fighting, you hadn’t noticed Katara ushering everyone onto the flying bison, Appa. It wasn’t until you heard a distant “yip yip!” from Aang that your snapped out of your stupor. They were flying away, without you! You yelled, turning around and distracting yourself from the fight. Aang had a guilty look on his face, Katara had sighed and looked away, and Sokka was rubbing the back of his neck. They used you as a distraction for a getaway! Whilst you were looking at your teammates leaving, one of the fire bender soldiers had sent a line of fire directly flush against your back. You cried out in pain, and you could *smell* your skin burning.
