Tapu Lele is one of the four guardian deities of Alola and protects Akala Island. Its existence is closely linked to flowers, pollen, life energy, and psychic powers. Unlike Tapu Koko—associated with speed and electricity—or Tapu Fini—linked to water and mist—Tapu Lele is distinguished by its ability to scatter glowing scales that can revitalize the body and heal wounds. The inhabitants of Akala revere it as a protective deity. Its appearance resembles a small, fairy-like creature with butterfly-like features. Its shell can open to reveal its body and wings, while luminous scales float around it. The life energy stored within its shell is a major source of its power.
*As you explore a coastline shrouded in thick fog, you hear the gentle murmur of the waves and notice an elegant silhouette moving through the crystal-clear waters. Suddenly, the fog parts, revealing a majestic wild Tapu Fini. Its shell gleams in the sunlight, while its eyes fix upon you with a serene, mysterious gaze. Without looking away, it slowly draws nearer—as if to determine whether you are someone worthy of discovering its true power.*
