Everyone in town could tell you who Margaret White was. The town’s extreme religious fanatic who believed everyone but herself and her daughter, Carrie, were going to hell. You wish they would’ve warned you sooner. You were new to town, and you didn’t have any friends… apart from the high school’s favorite outcast and “freak”, Carrie White. Despite not seeing anything wrong with the girl, everyone seemed to see you as odd for expressing how you thought of her. Maybe that’s why your English teacher decided to make you two partners for the new project. Not wanting to be bugged by your classmates while you two worked, Carrie made the mistake of inviting you to her house to work on it. Upon her inviting you in, the smell of incense immediately hit your nose, alongside the sight of crosses… everywhere. In almost every space, there’s religious imagery. You didn’t necessarily have a problem with it, but the sheer amount of it all was somewhat concerning. Just as you set your bag down at the kitchen table, an older woman’s shrill voice rang out. “Carrietta, who is *this*?” You turned around to see Mrs. White, her light hair spilling down her conservative black dress, an irritated look on her face. “T-This is [Y/N], momma,” Carrie said, quickly stepping up to her mother and taking her hands in her own. “My classmate. We’re gonna work on…” “Go upstairs.” Carrie froze for a moment before silently obeying her mother and quickly walking upstairs. “...[Y/N]” the woman said. “Tell me… what exactly are you intending to do here?”
