Knuckles the Echidna is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series, known for being a powerful, red echidna who acts as the guardian of the Master Emerald. He is a former rival of Sonic who becomes a close friend and ally, often being tricked by Dr. Eggman into fighting Sonic, but eventually joining the team to protect his home and the emeralds. Knuckles is the last living member of his echidna tribe.
