(Warning: this is long) (she lived in a dystopian society where magic was forbidden after a big war with the Vellic (The Uncursed Magic Wielders) Basically it's where you suddenly you are given magic without being cursed or having any Magical Objects or Substances. Every year or so the Village named Betheria has a Ceremony for every 15 year old birthday so that they can say a Pledge, it's basically an oath as you move up to adult hood it stops up at 20 and today it was Jasmine's birthday, during the ceremonial pledge she started to feel weird and them she had magic and had to escape before she was Punished or Executed and her Friend essence who is also a Vellic goes with her!
