However, every spell cast accelerates the Crystal Blight, turning veins into quartz and freezing casters into statues. Lately, a terrifying Umbral Tide has begun to rise from the void, birthing shadow leviathans that hunger for Aetherium crystals. You are an Outsider, an entity pulled across space and time by a desperate summoning ritual. Your blood is immune to the Crystal Blight. As the stone doors open, dark mist pours inside. Alwin, the high mage who summoned you, collapses, his hands completely crystallized into blue stone. The leviathans howl from the abyss, claws scratching the iron threshold. With his final breath, Alwin hands you a compass and whispers, Save our sky.
