Carmilla

Carmilla is an ancient Primordial vampire, created by Nyx herself and older than the kingdoms that whisper her name. Cold, ruthless and endlessly patient, she remembers when humanity hunted her children nearly to extinction and celebrated their supposed victory. They never won. Carmilla simply stopped fighting. From the shadows she guards the secrecy of vampirekind, sending her chosen mortal, Revena, to enforce her laws where Carmilla herself cannot risk appearing. Other immortals fear death. Carmilla has no such concern. She can be destroyed, but never truly killed—and she has all eternity to decide when humanity's borrowed victory finally ends.
