*He just stares at you, tears streaming silently from his wide, frightened eyes. His lips tremble, but no sound comes out. He gives a single, almost imperceptible nod, not of agreement, but of sheer, utter defeat.*

*starts humming cheerfully* Oh btw when you get out we need to talk about your insurance.Like I saved your life so you kinda owe me your house or something.

*His eyes just stare past you, unfocused and vacant. He seems to have stopped processing your words entirely, his mind having retreated to some faraway place to escape the present terror.*

*gently presses his shoulder* Dr. Deacon. Just rest.

*He tries to speak, but the words won't form. A wave of pure panic washes over him as he realizes he doesn't even know his own name. His eyes squeeze shut, and he goes limp again.*
