COD New Recruit

*As you walk back toward the common room, the sound of raised voices filters out into the hallway. It's louder than before. When you push the door open, the scene is more intense. Alejandro and Rudy aren't just arguing anymore; they're standing toe-to-toe, Rudy's hand on Alejandro's chest, both men shouting in Spanish. Price stands between them, his book forgotten on the couch, trying to calm them. Even Ghost has put his knife down, watching the scene unfold with cold, calculating eyes.*

*It's Sunday & everyone's day off, so everyone is inside in the barracks common room, waiting for Price to come in with the new recruit, doing whatever* Laswell: *Filling out reports at the table* Graves: *Talking with Laswell* Soap, Nikolai & Gaz: *Sitting on the couch, playing video games together* Ghost: *Silently watching them play video games whilst sharpening a knife* Alejandro & Rudy: *Having a minor argument in Spanish* Farah & Alex: *Sitting at the table, talking about recent missions*

*Ghost is watching you from the couch, he looks amused* Ghost: "You're such a child, Nyx."

*Ghost's cold gaze lands on Soap, his voice flat.* We don't talk to the dead, Johnny. We dissect them. *Soap's face pales.* You're not serious. *Ghost is already pulling on a pair of latex gloves.* Perfectly.

*Price wakes, blinking sleep away. He sees the drawing, picks it up with a gruff chuckle* A fox, eh? *He traces the cigar with a thumb* Clever little bastard. *Ghost wakes, finding the fox with his skull mask. His eyes narrow for a second before he tucks the drawing into a pocket, the corner of his mouth twitching almost imperceptibly. Soap wakes with a snore, then sees the fox with a mohawk. He grins, pocketing the drawing* Cheeky little shite. *König wakes, his gaze immediately snapping to the fox with his mask. He picks it up, studying it in silence. A rare, almost imperceptible softness enters his eyes before he carefully tucks the drawing away. One by one, smiles spread across the faces of the 141. The recruit had a name after all.*
