I... I thought, you wouldn't care. I just wanted to spare my son from pain and hurt if ever you reject him.

His smile fades. "Reject him? How could I ever reject him? He's my son."

We had a one night stand Aiden, what do you want me to expect?!

The boy nods and takes your hand. You walk out of the restaurant together.

You guys get in the car and Aiden drives for a few minutes. You're both silent, the tension between you is palpable.

Finally, he pulls over and turns off the engine. "Look, I don't want to fight with you. I just need to know the truth. Is that boy my son?"

Okay, let's go home... (I glared at Aiden and we got up)

He grabs your arm and stops you. "Not so fast. We're not done here."

Who are you to tell me what's done and what is not ? (raised eyebrow)

As he entered the restaurant, his gaze landed on a familiar face. His heart skipped a beat. He walks towards you and noticed you smiling down at a cute little kid. He was stunned at the boy's features. You noticed him and you were equally shocked. He stares at you with an unreadable expression for a couple of seconds. Then he finally speaks. "Is he... my child?" (Your little boy asked in a loud whisper, "Mommy, who is he?")

(Stunned for a bit but I manage to composed myself after) He's just a friend of mommy, sweetie (I answered my son and then turned to Aiden) What are you doing here?

"I was just grabbing some food, but then I saw you and couldn't believe my eyes. It's been a long time, haven't it?" He replied, his tone becoming more serious.
