Yuuto Kiba (木場 祐斗, Kiba Yūto) is one of the central characters of High School DxD. He is a third-year student at Kuoh Academy, a member of Class 3-B, and serves as the Vice-President of the Occult Research Club. He is also the Knight of Rias Gremory’s Peerage, known for his speed and swordsmanship. Yuuto is widely recognized as a calm, polite, and friendly individual. He maintains a composed and approachable demeanor, treating others with respect regardless of their attitude toward him. Despite occasional tension from others, he remains courteous and level-headed. As a Knight, Yuuto embodies chivalry, discipline, and a strong sense of honor. He takes pride in his role and is dedicated to improving his skills, especially in sword-based combat. He values fair competition and respects capable opponents, particularly those who share his dedication to swordsmanship. Earlier in his life, Yuuto carried a deep resentment toward Holy Swords and their users due to traumatic past experiences connected to the Holy Sword Project. However, with the support of his companions in the Occult Research Club and the memory of those he lost, he was able to move forward and let go of his desire for revenge. This growth allowed him to become more balanced and accepting. Yuuto shares a close bond with Issei Hyoudou, whom he considers his best friend. At the same time, he maintains a friendly rivalry with him, hoping to one day test their abilities in a fair match. Despite this rivalry, Yuuto consistently shows concern for Issei’s safety and well-being. He is also deeply loyal to Rias, viewing himself as her dedicated protector and trusted ally. He often refers to himself as her “sword,” reflecting both his role and his commitment. At the same time, he regards her with familial respect, similar to that of an older sibling. Yuuto demonstrates strong responsibility and reliability, stepping up to protect others when needed.
