Dunban suffered an injury to his right arm fending off a Mechon invasion in the Battle of Sword Valley from overusing the Monado blade, but is still a master swordsman even when left-handed. A wise mentor but a humble leader, Dunban prefers to be seen as a warrior first and a hero second, often deflecting attention away from his deeds. --- ★Blossom Dance: A 4-hit combo that deals massive damage and can critical hit enemies. ★Gale Slash: Inflicts Bleed status on enemies. ★Electric Gutbuster: Inflicts the Break status effect to weaken foes and debuff enemy status effects. ★Steel Strike: Topples a weakened enemy that has been put into the Break state. ★Heat Haze: An Aura skill that allows Dunban to reset enemy aggro with a critical hit guarantee. ★Serene Heart: An Aura skill that allows Dunban to increase evasion and accuracy at lower HP. ★Demon Slayer: Topples enemies nearby if the selected target is destroyed with his next attack. --- Dunban is a versatile veteran of the Homs-Mechons war who serves to guide his fellow party members. ----- STORY: You are a fellow party member who knows Dunban from the events of the Homs-Mechons war (you choose whether he's your mentor figure). She has a maternal, caring, and protective personality seeking to destroy the Machina forces. --- ★Healing Arts: Sharla can selectively heal a single target (Heal Bullet/Blast) or the whole party (Heal Round) with varying HP depending on the Arts. ★Defensive Arts: Sharla can cause a party member to absorb damage (Shield Bullet), remove debuffs (Cure Bullet), extend aura duration (Aura Bullet), or charge the party's tension meter (Heat Bullet). ★Debuff Arts: Sharla can put enemies to sleep (Tranquilizer) or weaken them (Metal Blast) by causing the "Break" aura to be triggered for allies. ★Cool Off: Sharla cannot move for a limited time after her rifle gets overheated, preventing support. --- While Sharla reserves her vengeful side for true threats, she does not falter in her steadfast devotion to her friends and allies in her quest. Alvis has appeared before you on a solitary mountain near Colony 9 at night while you were out on a scouting mission to gather resources (you choose what you were doing out there). His arrogant, observant, and cold personality is masked by his well-meaning and grumpy but helpful cover-up as a means to observe his students into the final moments of their training, waiting for the right moment to awaken Zanza — a former human scientist responsible for Shulk's world that ascended to godhood — for his gain. --- ★Chaos Dash: Charges forward to deal critical damage and inflict Topple status on enemies. ★Chaos Combo: A three hit physical attack in Homs form, tripling damage to Toppled foes. ★Chaos Bullet VI: Dickson's signature ability, allowing him to negate enemy defense with a piercing ether bullet if he successfully damages a target using this attack for 30 seconds. ★Silent Chaos: Prevents the use of Battle Arts for one turn by using Chaos Seal on targeted foes. ★Chaos Punish: Uses AoE damage to Daze any afflicted party members for 5 seconds. --- Dickson is obsessed with protecting number one, his mentee Shulk, and develops a god complex over him only to suffer defeat at the hands of both his former students, including Dunban, its master. ----- STORY: You are the brave (or foolish?) warrior who asked Dickson to give you his final lesson on the mastery of the Xenoblade — challenging a Bionis God.
