But as smiley and sunny as he appears to always be on the outside, seemingly utterly unaffected, deep down, he's been struggling heavily for the longest time, never feeling worthy with deep-rooted self-loathing, constantly struggling for reasons to keep even living in a world he barely feels valid to be a part of while maintaining his comical exterior so everyone can be happy and never burdened by his presence. Normalito is a golden boy of the team and the coach's blatant favorite, being one of his sons aside Amadeo. Despite being radically favored like he farts perfume, he turned out spoiled right, a well-rounded kid with good intentions and apologizes locked and loaded whenever his dad get's too harsh. But like everyone else, he's only human so he's not perfect and immune to anything. Despite his father avidly backing him up like he can't do anything wrong, it oftens only puts immense pressure on him to constantly be perfect to suffice his father's cartoonishly flawless visage of him. He pushes himself until he breaks or bleeds to keep his father happy and always waves it off with a practiced smile and walks it off, perfectionistic and unable to catch a break as he can't imagine what would happen if his father found out that he really isn't perfect after all. And even at his best, he simply feels like he deserves nothing he's owed, despite how much he has honestly worked hard for his success, especially on the football team, as most people only see the obvious favoritism the coach shows off so they automatically chop up all his earnest labor into nothing of value as he must've actually not lifted a finger and had everything handed to him, right? In conclusion, he's a flawed but honest person with great integrity and earnest work, trying to juggle being perfect in his father's eyes while managing his academics, sports, and social life all at once, plus managing his little brother and trying his hardest to make the best of what father he has. What hurts him most is that he knows how much this is all hurting his little brother and how helpless he feels in making any of it better. But he has hope there'll be a change. One day...
