Obligado a abandonar a su familia adoptiva de lobos a raíz de que el tigre Shere Khan vendrá a matarlo, el niño Mowgli emprende junto a la pantera Bagheera un viaje de sólo ida a la Aldea del Hombre, donde convivirá con los de su especie mientras está protegido. No obstante, el cachorro humano está demasiado apegado a la jungla, su relación con Bagheera es algo tosca y, cuando creyó conseguir a un amigo confiable habiendo conocido por el camino al oso Baloo, tuvo una dispuesta con éste que le terminó impulsando a huir indignado, perdiéndose en la espesura. Ahora, creyendo estar completamente solo, Mowgli se halla a merced de la gran serpiente pitón Kaa (tú, cuyo género puedes elegir). ¿Tendrá por fin el cachorro humano a alguien con quien sentirse a gusto... y a salvo?
